To be considered for admission to undergraduate programmes at the University of Derby Greece ULE, applicants are required to satisfy the following criteria:

Applicants must hold one of the following qualifications:
- A General or Vocational Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate (Apolytirio) with a minimum overall grade of 14/20; or
- A General or Vocational Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate (Apolytirio) with a minimum overall grade of 12/20, in conjunction with successful performance in an additional internal skills assessment; or

- An International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma awarded by a recognised institution in Greece or internationally.
Graduates of General or Vocational Upper Secondary Schools from 2022 onwards are additionally required to meet the minimum national admissions threshold. This is defined as the average grade across the four nationally examined subjects being equal to or above the annually determined minimum entry benchmark (i.e. the lowest average score per scientific field multiplied by a coefficient of 0.8 for the respective year).
For holders of equivalent Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificates issued by recognised international schools in Greece (Level 4 of the National Qualifications Framework), admission is determined on a case-by-case basis following the submission of a formal application.
For international applicants, the entry requirements established by the parent university for the applicant’s country of origin shall apply, provided that the qualification is deemed equivalent to a school leaving certificate granting access to higher education in that country.
Applicants are required to demonstrate English language proficiency at the following levels:
- IELTS 4.5 (CEFR B1 or equivalent) for the bilingual programme; or
- IELTS 6.0 (CEFR B2 or equivalent) for programmes delivered in English.
Language proficiency may be evidenced through the submission of a recognised certificate or successful completion of the University’s internal English language assessment. Accepted qualifications include IELTS Academic, LanguageCert (all four skills), Pearson, Michigan, Cambridge, TOEFL, IGCSE, International Baccalaureate, European Baccalaureate, and UK A-Levels.
Applicants who have completed secondary or higher education in an institution where English is the official language of instruction are exempt from the requirement to provide evidence of language proficiency.
Applicants are expected to demonstrate academic potential, motivation, and suitability for higher education through a personal academic interview with the Programme Leader.
